Acsention For The Church of Alternative Reality
Virtual reality, Metaverse and the weird way humans don't want to be human anymore
So, I’ll begin this by saying I think it's pretty weird that all of a sudden a whole slew of people think it's really possible to transcend the flesh and be uploaded into a computer. In some ways I shouldn't be surprised. We have been groomed to be moving in this direction for a long time. It started pretty simple. Back in the day we all sort of harmlessly brought home this new device, a personal home computer and it revolutionized our lives. The internet was another world that we all sort of became enchanted with. It's potential and possibilities! It's ability to offer information at a moment's notice. Most of us at the time slogged our way through its early horrors and glitches eventually to acquire the smart devices we have now. Enchanted in a different way with the seamlessness in which it is integrated into our social and private lives. Parts addiction, part education, part entertainment and possibly for our future it becomes part us.
But really there's more to the story. It's more than just this new sort of trend of devices and technology. There's something more that's at stake. It took me awhile to see the pieces come together. Observing as I pull back the the vast and intricate journey human beings have taken since probably the second World war towards a weird kind of Ascension. It is strangely wrapped up and entangled in religion, spirituality, the lack of real education in schools, reduction of sciences, lack of critical thinking skills, the removal of the arts from most school systems (except for the affluent)…? Etc… but it's even more than that. It is the systematic destruction of this planet without any regard for the future. As if we have been brainwashed to think we can have anything we want, whenever we want, as much of it as we want without consequences. This can be seen as mostly a western problem. Some statistics show we use 80% of the resources on the planet. There doesn't seem to be a bit of remorse from some or productive actions needed to change course.
To all of this we can also add the shameless harmful destructive manner which we have completely dishonored, defiled and destroyed the human body as being a sacred vessel. We've created a western society that judges us so harshly that most people don't even know what it's like to be human. What does it look like? Feel like? How does it dress? Walk? Eat? Some don't on't even know if they can be human. This whole place in time has expanded the crisis of mental illness and mental health. The current situation has caused people to harm themselves through addiction, surgery, thrill seeking, greed, selfish behaviors, and mindless pleasuring by dopamine, THC, Alcohol, and spiritual estatic experience, just to name a few. It is every where and touches every one. It is rampant and most people don't even know how to survive in the world we've created.
But what is it?
Let me see if I can start explaining this over the next few posts. The very simplified form is that if we destroy the planet, if we make being a human being a completely miserable experience, if we create a technological virtual world that is perfect in every way and get people to believe impossible things and deny reality, it's very possible that the end game for this is that we believe we will ascend into a computer reality or simulation. But the reality of this idea is mass extinction for many people. The planet suffers. All the creatures on the planet suffer. The planet itself goes into a regeneration process, the affluent planners of this endgame hunker down in their bunkers and safe places waiting things out for the world to starts over again.
Over the next few blog posts I will break it down and give resources, statistics, etc to show what I'm saying here that's not unplausible. I also want to stress I'm not trying to build another weird conspiracy theory. I'm trying to understand a set of principles and ideologies that I think are beginning to congeal as a weird social experiment that's happening right now.
